There will usually be daily homework in math based on the day’s lesson. Spelling homework will normally be given out twice a week. Homework will consist of completing the assigned worksheets, putting the words in alphabetical order, or writing a sentence for each word. When sentences are assigned, each sentence must be at least 7 words long and can’t start with the letter I.
A social studies, science, or language arts assignment may be assigned on the days when there is no written spelling homework.
Students are required to read 15 minutes each day (Monday-Thursday). A weekly home reading record sheet will be given out every Monday to record reading time. Please sign this sheet at the end of the reading period and have your child return it to class the following Monday.
