What an amazing year!!! It’s gone by so fast!!!!! We accomplished so much this year and we owe it all to the families at Hickory, the volunteers, and the school staff. I can not say how much I appreciate the support all of you have given to the PTA; we would not have been able to do anything without all of you.

This year we started out with a new PTA president, a new principal and vice principal, and a lot of new PTA board members. With our dedication to Hickory, we pulled it together, learned along the way, and had one of our most successful years. WE DID IT!!! We survived!!!

I would like to thank the Mendoza family for planning our wonderful Blue Ribbon Week. This was one event that the guests enjoyed themselves as much as the children did. It was wonderful to see the kids take part in the process and you could see how proud they were of their special officers.

I would like to send special thanks to my outgoing PTA board. You made my job this year so much easier because you were a strong and self driven board. I could not have asked for a better board during our dissolution process. While I concentrated on the task at hand, you all carried the weight of running the events and programs. Thank you, thank you, and thank you for being you!

Though not many changes have taken place on our PTA board for next year there are a few new board members and I am looking forward to working with you, and getting to know you and your families.
